A few years ago when interviewing the police chief in Rio de Janeiro (I have the video still), was asked about violence in Rio and police repression, arms trafficking and drugs:
1. The police can not end the arms trade. To do so would invade Israel, USA, France, UK, Switzerland, Sweden and other countries who are the arms export and earn with traffic.2. The police can not end the drug traffic, as it is a monetary interestcertain foreign power together national representatives.3. The drug is part of the command and control system against the population.4. The terror and torture are the only ways to keep cowed and controlled the population to defend the interests of the elites.5. Mediated disinformation system is not enough to secure control over the population.6. During the FHC government gains were exported more than 8 billion dollars abroad. During the government of Lula da Silva were exported over 38 billion dollars. The current government over 40 billion dollars of export earnings abroad. The amount is increasing.
